couple issues

First, let me say I'm really enjoying 3.0.  I keep discovering new lovely improvements.  Thank you!  There's some good thought in here.

Two things I've noticed (I'm using beta 2, so perhaps these have been resolved, but I looked around a bit to see if they'd come up and didn't see anything).

1) I can't seem to register participants to an event via the back end.  These are participants who will be paying later, so nothing is checked in the payment area.  Instead I get an error: Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.  We experienced an unexpected error. Please file an issue with the backtrace. (What is the backtrace?).  A check reveals that my registration attempt didn't save.  Registration through the front end is working fine.

2) I'm having a problem with e-mails not being forwarded back to the FROM address, even though that option is checked.  It's possible this is a problem with the e-mail settings of my server, or some interaction between server and civiCRM?  But I didn't notice the problem in 2.2.  When users click reply, the e-mail address is a long string of code @ my domain name.  It's not my FROM address.

Just to clarify - the same error on back-end event registration occurs two ways:
1) choosing the "Register event participant", filling out the form and clicking the register button,
or
2) looking up the person, clicking the events tab, clicking register for new event, filling out the form and clicking the register button.

Chris - can you recreate the "back-end registration" problem w/ pay-later case on the 3.0 sandbox? I just tried it (NOT checking "Record Payment") - and it seems to work fine. Perhaps a particular event configuration is triggering it for you - in which case you could try to set up an event on the sandbox with the same data as the one that you're trying to register users for on your local install.
