can I make a page with spreadsheet content instead of fck/word content?
September 21, 2009, 05:16:54 pm
Hi all,
I'd like to create a dynamic page on our site that lists our organizations emails, first name, last name, and personal info.

And I was going to just create a page with huge table that only authenticated users could edit like this:

http://lostvalley.org/We-live-Lost-Valley-our-email-address

but I was thinking it'd be better if we could use a spreadsheet format instead of the fck/word style table so that I could just export the staff list and import it. Anyone have any suggestions on how i would go about doing that?
thx,
jayson

Jayson - You could use a CiviCRM profile with "Limit Listings to Group" - connected to a CiviCRM group that has all folks you want in the table. You can expose this as a searchable list, or just use "force=1" in the URL so it to shows all contact records in the group.

(If these contacts aren't already in your CiviCRM DB, of course you'd need to import them first. Use the "Add to Group" feature during the import so they all wind up in the group.)
