Non-ASCII in from address
September 22, 2009, 12:45:57 am
I have run into an issue that when the from address has non-ASCII characters ("in my case it was letter ó in the quoted part of the" <email@address>) the civimail did not want to send the e-mail out until I converted the ó into o.

If someone can confirm the bug I'll open an issue in JIRA.

UPDATE

After a bit of thinking I went to test if the To addresses with non-ASCII are composed correctly and the result is that the CiviMail tries to UTF-8 encode it, but they don't come out right (and are not decoded properly)

Hey,

This problem have been recently fixed in 3.0beta (relevant issue is: http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-4631). Is it possible for you to check it out on 3.0? (stable will be released in ~2 weeks).

Thx,
m

Hello,

Thanks for the answer.
Can't do checking/testing in 3.0 yet.

Best,
Goran
