Event registration credit card expiration date wrong on confirmation
September 22, 2009, 02:02:43 pm
Hello and thanks for your time.

When filling out the registration form for an event, the user can enter their credit card information including expiration date and go on to the confirmation on the next page.
When the confirmation loads, the year of the cc expiration is reset to 2000, and the format is displayed in short date format like "Expiration: 12/00". Payment for the registration cannot be confirmed because the cc expiration date is incorrect. This is a live production instance using Civi 2.1.2 on Drupal 6.

On a development server when filling out the same event registration form the confirmation page shows the correct expiration date and is spelled out: "Expiration: December 2009". All databases and files were copied directly to the test site.

The payment processor is Authorize.NET, but the problem occurs on the confirmation page before the cc info is submitted to authorize. In addition, my client contacted Authorize.NET when the problem first occurred and they simply referred them back to me.

I've tried clearing all caches i know about including all caching tables in the drupal and civicrm databases and the smarty cache folder at "sites/default/files/civicrm" and at "/httpdocs/files/civicrm"

The live server and testing server are on the same versions of apache, PHP and MySQL. The live is Centos and the testing is Ubuntu 9.04.

Has anyone run into this issue before?
Any ideas on how to diagnose and correct this problem? it is preventing any registrations by credit card for the upcoming event.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

can we get ssh access to your server. If so, please ping us on IRC (either kurund, deepak or myself)

we'll need write access to the files to add debug statements. I assume the page is not live since its broken :)

thanx

Lobo,

I am experiencing something similar with civi 3 beta 4 when we go to process a cc through paypal pro on the back end through civi not through the donation page, an invalid date error on the card comes up. If you process through a contribution page on the front end of Joomla no problem.

J

jacob:

would be great if you can reproduce this issue on our sandbox server (yes it is drupal, but the code base is the same between all CMS'es)

I got the following message on the Sandbox Payment Processor Error message
: 10002:Security error Security header is not valid

It is the same on my joomla site except it is with the date.

In general a web search on an error message helps you proceed and make progress
