Does CiviMail integrate with iContact, Mailchimp, ConstantContact or similar?
September 23, 2009, 11:01:04 am
Is there a way to integrate CiviCRM with iContact, Mailchimp, Constant Contact or similar e-mail marketing service?  Looking to have a third-party handle whitelisting, analytics and all that.

Thanks

If you're using Drupal, you do have a couple options:

http://drupal.org/project/mailchimp  (seems to be the most robust module)
http://drupal.org/project/icontact

I plan on eventually exploring how this may integrate "through" Drupal with CiviCRM. Haven't found the time for it yet but I'll do my best to post our experiences here.

Did you have any success with the integration of these systems? I'd be very interested in some success stories! :)

I just started learning about CiviSMTP

http://civismtp.org/drupal/

As I understand it, allows you to keep all your contact management in CiviCRM and send via CiviCRM, but not have to manage a mailing server--it only operates as a mail server.

Pricing is great too!

The Providers' Council through a grant from Common Impact and Fidelity developed a module to sync CiviCRM groups and contacts to Constant Contact: http://drupal.org/project/civicrm_constant_contact (and also to Democracy in Action: http://drupal.org/project/civicrm_dia and GoToWebinar: http://drupal.org/project/civicrm_gotowebinar). Thanks to Rooty Hollow for their continued maintenance of these modules.

I hope you find this helpful.

I also have a Drupal module to integrate with MadMimi if anyone wants it.

Sounds good. I'd like to try it. Does it work with CiviCRM 3?

For that matter, are there any integrations with mail service providers that work with CiviCRM 3?

I strongly recommend CiviSMTP:
http://civismtp.uas.coop/drupal/

It's just a mail relay and let's you continue to do mailings & manage lists natively in your CiviCRM. Very useful.

Yes, it works with CiviCRM 3. I will contact you offline and send the code. It's not quite ready for prime time, but if you are prepared to tweak it a bit, it works fine.

I would also be interested in this module.

Did you try MailChimp and Constant Contact?  If so, were there pros/cons to report?  I would love to use CiviSMTP, but might not get buy-in from client.
