Drupal 6.14 user profile not displaying after upgrade to CiviCRM 3.0

I can not view any user profile after the upgrade to CiviCRM 3.0.  I can edit the users drupal profile including some custom fields from Civicrm profiles but I can not do the simple view http://ntmtest.doesntexist.com/user/9 i get redirected to the drupal front page without an error.  Any one else experiencing this?

Drupal 6.14( I upgraded from 6.12 trying to fix the problem with no luck)
CiviCRM upgrade from 2.x(dont remember exactly) to 3.0
DB MySQL
OS Windows XP

Can you make sure Used For "My Account" is checked for the profile that you want at http://ntmtest.doesntexist.com/user/9

Also check if your profile contains fields that do NOT belong to either Contact or Contact-Individual. Any other fields in a profile in the My Account context are not supported.

Where the Used for My Profile setting at?  I a see a profile check box on the profile settings page and is checkd.  This used to work before the upgrade.  And all my fields are for the contact or individual level.  I can see it from the civicrm links <site>/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=109 but not under drupal users view page.

hmm, i suspect u r getting confused between profiles and custom data. Profiles are not exposed in the contact view page (i..e <site>/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=109) those are custom groups. You might want to take a look at some docs at:

Well I say profile because my profiles mimic all the custom fields in a field group that show up in the contact page.  In the manuals you sent me(which i've read before) says the following:

"View/Edit User Account (Drupal Only): Many times it is useful to allow your constituents to manage their own data through your website. This use of profiles involves allowing people to edit their information when they are managing their Drupal account.  When they do so, this information is automatically updated in CiviCRM."


So i have a couple of  Profiles that show up in Drupals user Account (my account) page, which for some reason just redirects me to my front page without any error.  I'm able to edit those profiles if I go to http://<site>/user/1/edit/Name%20and%20Address

Using Drupal 6.14, after I upgraded to CiviCRM 3.0, the Profiles (which have "View/Edit Drupal User Account" enabled) no longer appear on the "My Account" page.

On the "My Account" page, I can click the 'Edit' tab and the content of the Profiles are editable. However, on the 'View' tab, the page is almost blank, no Profile content appears.

I triple-checked that all fields belong to 'Individual' or 'Contact'.

Any other tips or tricks to recover the Profiles? Thanks!

I can not do anything cause I'm at work, but could you give me a hint on where the hook for the user profile is for CiviCRM profiles?

drupal/civicrm.module, civicrm_user is the hook function, which in turn calls: civicrm_view_data for viewing contact info case

I'm so embarassed, I review my changes and one profile that was marked for viewing in Drupal was Individual only.  that caused the page not to display at all.  After I unchecked the setting from the profile page all the others were shown.

I guess before was more forgiviing and would ignore the ones that weren't contact type.

Hmm - maybe I'm misunderstanding but a Profile with "Type" = "Individual" SHOULD display properly in Drupal My Account and User Registration.

at least on the civicrm_view_data its only looking for contact on the type, I don't know in other places.

The HTML for Profiles in 'My Account' was being properly generated, but civicrm\css\civicrm.css had a line #panel, .panel { display: none; } that hid it from view.

Since CiviCRM 2.0 didn't have this CSS line, I added my own class 'panel' to my Profiles. And after the upgrade, the Profiles "disappeared" because of this extra line of CSS.

dLobo is looking into the CSS. It may be AJAX related. Should be fixed for 3.0.2.

In my case I was being rerouted to my website homepage, and the profiles weren't in the html.
