One catch: While new users seem OK (thank you!), Drupal "My Account" view page for already-existing users is still broken - user gets redirected to front page. Is there a reset command, or are there files that need to be deleted and rebuilt?

Of course, user 1 can't be deleted, so I may have to live with that...

If you're talking about behavior on submit of profile within my account - this was a separate issue / separate fixes:

Actually, no - here's the current problem:

For accounts that existed prior to the registration fix, the My Account page view is still inaccessible under all circumstances. User is redirected to the front page instead.

Any ideas? Thanks, Dave!

we have not had any other reports about this. I suspect it might be something to do with your config (dont know what).

I tried this on civicrm.org (which was also upgraded) and it worked fine

Perhaps it has to do with the version under which the user was created.

For example, in my case, user 1 was likely created under 3.0. So one might not see this behavior unless one started with a 3.0 install and followed the upgrade path to 3.1.2.

In any event, shouldn't there be a table to look at where the value(s) for the different users can be compared? New users seem to function OK, so perhaps we could update the value(s) for the non-working users and all get on with our lives...

Waddya think? Thanks, Dave...

Check the CiviCRM log file (sites/default/files/civicrm/templates_c/en_US/ConfigAndLog/CiviCRM?.log), and the Drupal watchdog to see if errors are reported. I think the redirect means we are reporting a fatal error and redirecting  - but error isn't showing on screen.

There's nothing in the Drupal logs and, although I don't see an error being logged as My Account for user 1 is invoked, I do see the following error message - this may have to do with an error I get when first accessing Civi as user 1:

Code: [Select]
You do not have permission to view this contact record. Contact the site administrator if you need assistance.
Of course, "this contact record" would be me: user 1.

This is from the CiviCRM log file:

Code: [Select]
Feb 20 21:18:44  [info] $Fatal Error Details = Array
(
[message] => Could not find valid value for id
    [code] =>
)

Feb 20 21:18:44  [info] $backTrace = /home/nassauco/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/Error.php, backtrace, 264

/home/nassauco/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Event/Page/EventInfo.php, retrieve, 59
/home/nassauco/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/Invoke.php, run, 210
/home/nassauco/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/drupal/civicrm.module, invoke, 335
, civicrm_invoke,
/home/nassauco/public_html/includes/menu.inc, call_user_func_array, 348
/home/nassauco/public_html/index.php, menu_execute_active_handler, 18

Thanks, Dave - any ideas greatly appreciated![/code]

Hmm - not sure that 2nd error is related to a My Account access (since it's referencing a missing event ID). The first one ("you do not have permission to view") does seem related - and MIGHT indicate that the table which synchonizes users to contacts is messed up - civicrm_uf_match. You could do some snooping on this by checking the contact_id for uf_id = 1 (i.e. user 1) in that table.

Since this is really a different issue, best if you start a new thread (sorry) and include step-by-step details about how / when the problem is triggered (including specific URL's being accessed). Also, recheck the CiviCRM log file after triggering the 'mis'behavior.

Thanks, Dave - civicrm_uf_match seems OK (I have two sites ready for deployment at the moment and only one is exhibiting the problem, so I can compare), however...

In enabling Devel, I noticed the following in sess write:

Code: [Select]
sess_write
UPDATE sessions SET uid = 1, cache = 0, hostname = 'XX.XXX.XX.XX', session = 'CiviCRM...

where the hostname IP is from my development sandbox, not the production site. Weird.

Obviously, this is wrong and could easily explain the problems I'm running into. Otherwise, the directories are all set properly.

So if I can find out where the system is getting that wrong IP address, that could help solve the problem, dontcha think? Any ideas? Thanks much!

Nope. Site must be getting the old IP information from somewhere... puzzling.

Update: I believe the "old IP" info is the "live" login location information, which would be the same IP as my development sandbox. Duh.

So still no clues here... grrr.
