By the way, is there some sort of language caching in civicrm ? I've noticed that after having compiled the mo.file and uploaded it on my install, my changes applies a day after or something like that. Am I Dreaming or what ?

Good news, you might be awake - did you try cleaning up the template cache immediately after replacing .mo file? :-)

Thx,
m

Well I've tried renaming the "templates_c" folder in media. The folder was immediatly recreated after refreshing admin of civicrm but my changes are still not applied.

in the civicrm.po file I have this line :
#: xml/templates/civicrm_navigation.tpl
msgid "Find Contacts - Advanced Search"
msgstr "Trouver des contacts - recherche avancée"

But when I look in the admin interface I get "Find Contacts - Advanced Search" untranslated.

Got it ! I had to change my localisation settings to another language then come back to the initial language as described in this topic

There is no language caching, but the templates are cached per-language by Smarty and the menu is cached per-language as well, so you might want to clear the Smarty cache and rebuild the menu after an MO file upload.

Using a french install of CIVICRM (3.1.4) I have many problems in CiviContribute with reserved terms translated in french (contact status "pending"), also currency separator set as  ',' leading SQL errors in column counts, and I suppose other surprises in the next days...

How should I report on  this, as it impairs usability of the whole module?

I will try try to use fr_CA in the meanwhile, but Pleassse, test the translations befor to deliver these as |10n components

previous 2.2.5 versions of civicrm were running without these problems... did they?

Hi marlutin,

The best way to report a bug is to describe the exact steps (and a bit of context) to reproduce the bug. Exact error messages or screenshots can help.

fr_CA might work in your case because your operating system does not support the fr_CA locale, so it defaults back to C (en_US). Although I use fr_CA and hosts that support it, and I have never had the issue.

I could not reproduce the bug in CiviCRM 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 (which has changed how it handles thousands/decimal seperators, and it seems OK there too). Can you provide more info?

P.S. please create a new threads for new topics, it makes it easier to track comments.

Bonjour,

Cordialement

Bonjour,

The translations are now managed on Transifex: http://www.transifex.net/projects/p/civicrm/

You can create an account there and participate in the translations.

You should create a new team for fr_FR. It would be best if the person who has been doing a lot of translation lately would step up to do this, in order to become the official maintainer.

Then you can use the forums on Transifex to discuss about the translation itself.

There is a french team request since 5 days ago. (http://www.transifex.net/projects/p/civicrm/teams/)

I may be the one who have done a lot of french translations lately.
I've created an account (as gtherm) on transifex today and requested for a new french team.

Hey Conradm,

I approved your translation team request. Please remember that proper coordination of translation team requires some effort from you: building and extending the translation team, approving submitted translations, etc. :-)

Thanks,
Michal

Hello,

Merci
