Could not find valid Key
April 12, 2010, 02:25:22 pm
I have recently setup a contribution page and I tested it on IE8 and Firefox on two different computers sometimes it worked, sometimes i get the error when clicking on "continue" at the bottom of the contribute page. I am using the contribute page as a volunteer signup form, there is no charge to signup. Is there something i did wrong setting up the page? Or is there a better way of doing the volunteer signup?

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

Upgraded to 3.1.4 and the problem was fixed.  :)

I have been experiencing the exact same problem. Based on another post (http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,13679.0.html) I have noticed that I have the problem when the url of the error message does not match the url of the sign up page.

I have not been able to fix the problem yet as I don’t have direct access to the web server config script, and I will try and to find some work around.

I have updated the resource urls in civicrm but when I look at the html of the signup page I can tell that the html form is still pointing (the action statement) to the hosting site and not to my domain.

Where else do I need to specify my new domain (when I have updated the resource urls in the civicrm setting)?

I have had a look at class CRM_Contribute_Form_Contribution_Main method buildQuickForm but I am not able to find the action url anywhere, so that must be generated elsewhere.

Cheers,
Thomas
