Required Check Box for Event Registration
April 29, 2010, 08:56:03 pm
I am looking for instructions on how to add a required checkbox for accepting a "Waiver of Liability" for an event registration to be accepted.

I found this previous forum post "Disclaimer Checkbox?" http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,9584.0.html which sounded like a similar issue.  But no real answer was given.  One answer was to add a required single checkbox field... My question is how.  I can add a Yes or No field and make it required.  But if they select No then they answered...  Other than custom code is there any built-in way to do this field.

Thanks,
Greg

you might want to check custom data w/ html type 'CheckBox'.

On my setup (civiEvent in Joomla) My Field Types are:

Alphanumeric
Integer
Number
Money
Note
Date
Yes or No
State/Province
Country
File
Link
Contact Reference
...............................
OK I think I found it.

After looking thru the options it appears that Checkbox is in Alphnumeric - Checkbox... (not exactly where I was looking for a checkbox)

I assume I then apply it to a participant (or some variety of participant) so that people registering will be required to check the box before registering.
