Problems with deleting phone entries, email entries - Location Type

I entered new Location types, loaded 10 rows into a clean install, then disabled Location types that were not being used.
What is happening now is that I can't delete a phone entry or an email entry.

After I save they just keep popping up, sometimes with a phone type
or email type I did not enter in the contact record.
Anyone have a idea what's going on?

I have been having the same exact problem!

I'm running v3.3.1 and if I edit a contact and delete a phone number, it still remains in the contact, if I recategorize the phone number (like from home to work), it duplicates the phone number, keeping the old category and adds the new category.

Also, if I edit a contribution that was made where I entered a soft credit, and then just remove the name from the soft credit on the edit screen and hit save, it does not save the change. Any ideas?!

This is very frustrating!

The behavior you describe is identical to what I am seeing.
This is a new installation, all I did was disable some location_types,
everything looks good in the mysql tables, so I'm stumped, I have
no idea what to look for.

I even deleted the files inside the templates_c/ directory, reset the cache on my browsers, tried from different computers (thinking it may be a CSS issue) and I'm still experiencing this very unnerving problem!

Are you on Drupal or Joomla, what version? Does the same problem occur on the demo site?

Drupal 6.19. Don't know if this happens on the demo site.

Just tried with an existing contact. Deleting a phone number stays deleted. Recategorizing the type of number from home to billing also worked. Apparently this issue is not being duplicated on the drupal demo site. Could this be a local browser cache situation?

A whole slew of them, but primarily Chrome and Firefox in Windows 7 and Chrome and Firefox in Ubuntu 10.04.....on the rare occasion, Internet Explorer in Windows.

How would you suggest I do this? I do have the Drupal Devel module installed, would that help?

I guess my first step would be to check in the template what happens? And then check the code.....never heard of Drupal Devel :-)

I'm not sure at all what you mean by doing all this. I'm a proficient user, but not a programmer so even if I knew how to do what you're suggesting, I wouldn't know what I was looking at to make heads or tails out of it.

Makes sense :-) Do you have someone available in your organisation that could do some programming? Alternatively you can wait to see if someone has found and solved the same problem and sees your post on the forum?
