PHP 5.3 CiviCRM 3.3.6 - Invalid path to jQuery...
April 11, 2011, 04:18:48 am
G'Day,

I have a J! 1.5.23 system running PHP 5.3 quite happily. Installed civicrm-3.3.6-joomla-alt.zip via directory method and the component installs without an issue. However the back end is not loading jQuery it seems. It is attempting to access "packages/jquery/jquery.js" instead of "/administrator/components/com_civicrm/packages/jquery/jquery.js" I have checked my base URL and it is OK as follows:

define( 'CIVICRM_UF_BASEURL'      , 'http://www.mydomain.com/administrator/' );

This appears to be exactly the same problem as reported http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,18984.0.html. Anybody got any suggestions or fixes?

Logging into the demo and browsing to

http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/setting/url&reset=1

I see that CiviCRM Resource URL is set to

http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/

Check that setting on your install.

Changing that setting for my install did the trick and it now seems to work. Much appreciated hershel.
