wordpress and CiviCRM user registration
April 22, 2013, 06:33:37 pm
Hello,

When a user registers I would like to mimic how Drupal and CiviCRM work together.

Drupal and CiviCRM have the CRM info or fields on the Drupal user registration page.

How do I do this or add it in Wordpress?

I dont know if WP allows you to extend the registration form with additional fields. If it does, would be great to see if we can integrate it with civi. Can you do some research and find out please?

this is not available in 4.3 and earlier, but can make a great addition for 4.4

Well, that would be nice. How am I suppose to populate the other user information like firstname, lastname and address info into civicrm when a user registers on Wordpress like it does on Drupal? I don't mind building it, but I see when a user registers it creates a bare record into CiviCRM. Where is this logic located and I will add the remaining fields my self.

In a Drupal and CiviCRM those fields are added to the Drupal User Registration Automatically when you enable the module.

I guess what I want to accomplish is when a user registers on wordpress

How would I add this info?
http://siteurl/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/profile/create&reset=1&gid=1

This url pulls the Name and Addrress fields.

In Drupal and CiviCRM I can capture this info on the Drupal new user registration.

can you point people to a civicrm profile which creates the WP user account as per http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=28469

Hello,

Yes, I tried that went into the Name and Address Profile and made that a requirement in Advance Settings.

When I go to http://sitename/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/profile/create&reset=1&gid=1

The profile isn't showing the requirement.
