Trying to Get CiviVolunteer Working -- Version 2.2.1
February 28, 2017, 11:31:43 am
Finally got it loaded - and yes the dependency is also loaded and enabled  ---

New CiviEvent does not show a box to check to enable Volunteers.

Also, if I go to the Volunteer tab in the main menu, and click on Manage Volunteer Projects, it throws a permissions error (I have full Drupal and CiviCRM administration priviledges)
"API permission check failed for VolunteerUtil/getbeneficiaries call; insufficient permission: require edit own volunteer projects"

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

I don't have a lot of bandwidth at the moment to provide unpaid support, but let me try for some low-hanging fruit:

  • here's a list of tips for debugging JavaScript problems, or at least providing someone on the forums with enough information to help you
  • re "New CiviEvent does not show a box to check to enable Volunteers." -- could you post a screenshot of what you're seeing instead? (also see above tips)
  • please provide more information about your system... what version of CiviCRM are you running?
  • Have you tried clearing CiviCRM's caches? http://example.org/civicrm/clearcache
  • CiviVolunteer adds its own permissions to CiviCRM -- are you sure you've assigned those to your user as well?
Are you a CiviVolunteer user? Join the CiviVolunteer 2.0 Matching Grant effort to help the project win $15,000 in grant funding.
