Hello, just making contact too.  I'm the website manager for the Society for Psychical Research, and I'm trying to consolidate all our IT systems and website onto CiviCRM and Drupal.  It's quite a scary project, especially trying to juggle it around my day job.  That said, they're great tools and I'm enjoying the prospect of it all coming together, eventually.  I'm sorry to have joined after the meetup in London, but I hope I'll be at the next one.

Hi Julie,

Great to have another CiviCRMer in the UK.  Feel free to call me on 020 7183 9577 or on 07817 802299 and we can chat in person if you want - might be helpful in the early stages.

Otherwise I'll look out for more of your forum posts.

We don't have a UK meet up scheduled at the moment.  We're hoping to have one in Birmingham or Newcastle pretty soon.  Look out for details on the blog!

Hi, just wanted to say hello  :)

I'm just starting out using CiviCRM to help a local day hospice get their contact management in order and give them some of the great features of CCRM!

I'm up in Northumberland - is there anyone else using CCRM up in the NE or Scotland?

Hopefully I might be able to get back down South to come to some events/meetups.

I've got lots of questions but not for this post - just wanted to say hi!

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the community!

You might want to get in contact with Oli Gibson in Manchester gmcvo.org.uk, or possibly Chris Cant www.phdcc.com, who is in Cumbria.

And if you are ever in london, definitley come along to a meet up!

Also, we are holding a two day user and admin training in April. http://civicrm.org/civicrm/event/info?id=99 would be great to see you there.

Lovely to see so many UK CiviCRM users/contributors here. I'm Ed Burton and am happy to be embarking on a free software make over for the London Buddhist Centre.

Hi Everyone,

I'm up here in Sheffield, I am currently looking at a CiviCRM/Drupal solution to administrating a childrens sports coaching programme...
It would also be linked to community Hub Clubs.

I'm still trying to get to grips with how much CiviCRM does, and how best to organize it.

Anyone else up here fancy a meet up, and a chat about how they implimented Civi for their site?
Jamie - Are you still around - I know your post was a while ago now...

Hope to hear from some of you soon.

Handy..

Hi Handy,

Nice to hear from another UK user :)  Am not 'up north' but happy to meet for a chat.  Also, in case you missed it, we have a CiviCRM training coming up on the 14th and 15th.  Price tag attached, unfortunatley, but definitley worth the money in terms of what you learn (IMHO!) and also good way to meet other users.

Hi everyone,

I implemented CiviCRM on Drupal about a year ago, but have only just noticed this UK forum. It would be good to get to know a few of you. I am based in Guildford, working for a Christian charity providing counselling.

Sadly, I don't think I can make either the CiviCon/DrupalCon in August or the Admin training in the Autumn, but I hope to get along to something. Sometimes it drives me crazy being the only techie in the organisation... ???

Hello Stuart,

Welcome to the UK forum!

Shame that you can't make it to the autumn events.  Keep a look out here and in other places for our other UK civicrm meet ups - hopefully you'll make it one soon.

Hi Stuart,
One of my close friends is working for another Christian charity in Guildford, though they don't (yet) use CiviCRM as it doesn't have all the options and support they'd need. It would be great to hear more about how it's worked for you. Could we set up an informal London meetup for people who can't make it to the main CiviCon?

Hi Cesy,

Sorry, just saw your message to me, as I didn't have Notify activated on this forum.

Civi works a treat for my organisation, although I feel a bit on my own. That's the value of these forums. Civi has allowed us to go from being centralised with an Access Database to having 6 of us working in different towns around the UK, but all having access to key contact information.

Feel free to message me if you'd like to arrange contact with your friend in Guildford.

Stuart

Hi everyone

I attended CiviCon yesterday in London and found it very useful indeed.  I had no idea that there was a UK User Group until then.

I run two (Drupal based) CiviCRM sites - one for the choir that I sing in (predominantly using CiviMember to maintain the membership records), the other for an organisation which offers a supportive moving service for older people (predominantly uses CiviCase for tracking the progress of each move).

I would like to get more involved with the CiviCRM community.

Mark  :)
