Does CiviEvent support repeating events?

Like the Drupal event repeat module, can CiviEvent tap into this functionality? Example:

I have a workshop that is going to happen 5 times between July 1 and September 30. Right now, I just duplicate the event. Is there a way to include event repeat?

Sorry, I see that this is going to be postponed until 2.0 release. http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRM/CiviCRM+v1.8

just thought i would check in on this one...couldn't find any further updates on google/jira for repeating events functionality. is there a release that this is scheduled for?

Hi Emily - this is on the 2.2 Candidates roadmap - so a ways off (unless you and/or other folks get inspired to work on it sooner :-) )...
